She was orphaned at a very young age, which was extremely depressing for her. So she doesn't usually talk about her parents and tends to just leave out everything about her past.
When the souls first arrived, she was 16. That's when she managed to escape. She spent forever looking, searching, hoping to find other humans. When she eventually did it was one of the best things that happened to her. They accepted her and treated her like family. She's very protective, but also extremely secretive.
